(IEP: Individualized Education Plan):

Our Education

At our school, we are a K-12 educational institution providing individualized education, dedicated to helping each child with developmental disabilities unlock their full potential and build a future where they can confidently thrive in society. We emphasize fostering the joy of learning and self-esteem by accumulating successful "can-do" experiences, rather than simply imparting knowledge.

Educational Philosophy

We aim to provide a secure and supportive learning environment where children with developmental disabilities can learn at their own pace and according to their unique characteristics, laying a solid foundation for independence and a fulfilling life.

Educational Goals

  • Acquisition of Foundational Academic Skills and Applied Abilities: We provide instruction tailored to each student's understanding in core subjects such as Japanese Language, Mathematics, Science, and Social Studies, building a strong foundation and developing applied skills.

  • Improvement of Communication Skills and Social Competence: Through Social Skills Training (SST), students learn effective ways to interact with others and appropriate behavior within group settings.

  • Cultivation of Self-Esteem and Independence: By accumulating small successes, we foster the ability to think and act independently, enhancing self-esteem.

  • Acquisition of Skills for Future Societal Participation: Students gain practical skills necessary for future independence and participation in society, including life skills and pre-vocational training.

Curriculum and Teaching Methodology

Our school offers a curriculum that is optimally reconstructed for children with developmental disabilities, while referencing the curriculum guidelines set by Japan's Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT).

  • Individualized Education Plan (IEP):

We conduct a detailed assessment of each child's developmental stage, characteristics, interests, and goals, and collaborate with parents to formulate an Individualized Education Plan (IEP). Based on this IEP, we implement the most suitable learning content and teaching methods for each individual. IEPs are regularly reviewed and flexibly adjusted to match the child's growth.

  • Small-Group & Individual Instruction:

Our specialized teachers provide meticulous instruction tailored to each child's pace. They promptly address questions and offer thorough support until understanding is achieved.

  • Diverse Learning Domains:

In addition to academic support in core subjects, we offer comprehensive education in various areas essential for children with developmental disabilities, including communication support, sensory integration therapy, motor skill development support, and life skills instruction.

  • Practical Learning:

Beyond classroom learning, we foster the ability to apply learned knowledge and skills in real-life situations through practical activities such as experiential learning and role-playing.

Teacher System and Expertise

All teachers at our school hold Special Needs School Teacher's Licenses or equivalent professional qualifications (e.g., clinical psychologist, speech therapist, occupational therapist, developmental psychologist). As a team of experts with deep knowledge and extensive experience in teaching children with developmental disabilities, we provide high-quality education tailored to each child's unique characteristics.

Target Students and Enrollment Process

We cater to K-12 school-aged children (6 to 18 years old) with developmental disabilities. We provide support tailored to individual needs, regardless of specific diagnoses (e.g., ASD, ADHD, LD).

Those wishing to enroll are invited to participate in an individual consultation and trial lessons. Following an assessment of the child's characteristics, we will collaboratively create the optimal IEP.
